Application and Leasing

Getting started is easy. Just visit our Availability page, choose Northwoods East or Northwoods West, and select the home that feels right for you. Once you click ‘Apply Now’, you’ll be guided through the rest of the process.

Move-In and Move-Out Support

Yes. Northwoods Apartments charges a non-refundable $50 application fee per applicant and an application deposit equal to one month’s rent, due within 48 hours of approval. You can find full details in the appropriate Rental Policy.

You’re welcome to make your space feel like home. We simply ask that the apartment is returned in the same condition it was leased in.

We understand that plans can change, and we do allow residents to break leases for a fee. Please speak with management directly so we can walk you through the process.

We expect residents to remain for the entirety of the lease. If you need to move out early, please speak directly with management so we can go over your options.

While we would love for you to stay, we’re here to support you if you decide to move. Our leasing team can recommend moving services, and residents must notify management that they are declining the renewal offer so the move-out can be scheduled.

We anticipate returning security deposits to the listed resident within 60 days of lease-end. If your deposit return takes longer, please reach out to management so we can look into it for you.
Fees and Payments

The security deposit is equal to one month's rent, and is due within 48 hours of approval. Applicants with an insufficient credit score may be approved with an additional deposit.

Pets

Yes! Northwoods is a pet-friendly apartment community in Middletown, CT. We welcome both cats and dogs and up to two pets per apartment.

Yes. We charge a $450 non-refundable pet fee per pet, a $45 DNA registration fee if needed, and $40 monthly per pet pet rent.

For safety reasons, the following breeds and breed mixes are not allowed: Akita, Husky, Great Dane, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Mastiff, Malamute, Presa Canario, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Boxer, Wolf, Wolf-Dog Hybrid, and any mixes with dominant traits of these breeds.
This policy does not apply to support animals approved under the Fair Housing Act or ADA. Service animals with valid documentation are exempt from fees and breed restrictions.
